  1. Describe Andy Sachs before she got the job at Runway.- Well, Andy wasn’t really involved in the world of fashion. I would say that she wasn’t stylish at all. Andy was a very talented young journalist, too ambitious to care about her old-fashioned skirt or a sloppy sweater that looked oh her like a paper box. Also she didn’t do her make-up a lot - just some chapstick and a touch of mascara. I noticed that Andy didn’t try to pretend femenine or look thin or elegant, when she came for a job interview to Miranda Priestly. I could see a hint of mockery in her manners, when she talked with girls that worked at the office. She thought that she’s just the ‘girl next door’’,happily living her life- young, motivated lady with an amazing boyfriend of her dreams and loyal friends.
  2. What changed when Andy decided to really try and do her job well?- So, when Andy wanted to try her best to become Miranda’s personal assistant, she went to her colleague Nigel to help her out. He did a good job, and Andy didn’t looked like an ugly duckling anymore. After her marvelous makeover, she started to learn more about high fashion and how to be a good assistant for her boss. She understood Miranda’s character and used her intuition and new friend’s contacts to save her reputation.
  3. Describe Andy’s boss Miranda Priestly in detail + describe one of her outfits- Miranda Priestly, the editor in chief of the ‘Runaway’ is a very elegant, mature woman with a hot temper. She hired a lot of young ladies, but they’re all left this prestigious job because of Miranda’s viciousness. She said that all the previous candidates were completely inadequate, because they couldn’t man themselves and run her errands fast. Working with Miranda was hard, because she was a perfectionist and she wasn’t polite to her staff at all. What about her outfits, they were always stylish and reach-colored, for example cerulean, lapis or sage details.
And here’s my favorite outfit of hers- minimalistic, but really luxurious long velvet dress with a Heartcleavage and big crystals on sheer taffeta sleeves, golden ring and earrings

Describe Andy’s immediate supervisor Emily + describe one of her outfits (make sure to specify the scene).- At first, Emily didn’t take Andy seriously, but when Andy became more successful in helping Miranda, Emily became very jealous and quite unpleasant person to work with. When she broke her leg,and realised that her dream of going to Paris is a fat chance, she went very sad ang angry. She is a young woman in her late twenties, with a red straight hair, blue eyes, fair skin, freckles and thin complexion. And one of her outfits we could see here- black turtleneck and tight wool skirt, v-necked jacket and leather bracelets.

  • Describe five of Andy’s many outfits that she sports throughout the film.
lace stockings, matching light-brown leather boots and knitted hat, black coat and tote bag
tweed hat, chanel necklace with pearl, black pull-over with short sleeves and classic white blouse
my personal favorite- light blue heels with black straps, golden python bag and white coat with long sleeves and short leather gloves.
total-black look.warm velvet boots, black stockings, short black leather dress and cozy cardigan, fancy golden jewerely.
black stiletto heels, classsic black trench coat, white shirt with laces and red gloves. And also, very elegant bun.

What did you learn about the fashion industry in the US?- First of all, you should be really stress resistant, and don’t be really sensetive, because there are always would be critics and impoliteness. That’s a very crucial industry, sometimes people could be mean and unpleasant, and you should know how to deal with that. And, the most inportant thing is that high fashion is art, not just beatiful pictures and clothes.

If someone asked you what the main idea of the film is, what would you say?- I would say that the main idea of the film is to constantly learn something untypical for you, be motivated and try to reach your goal no matter what, but be wise at the same time and know how to make priorities. Your friends and family are the most important things in you life, so try to keep a good relationships with them.

What did you personally learn from watching the film? What did it make you think about? What conclusions did you make?- This film made me think about how many people, tears and hardwork we don’t see, buying sa fashion magazine. Also, you always should be able to say stop and don’t lose your time of the day with your nearest and dearest because of your career.
