“Dear George, remember no man is a failure who has friends.”

Today I’m going to tell you a few words about on old American Christmas movie by Frank Capra, created in 1946. It’s called “It’s a Wonderful Life”. The film is based on the the short novel “The Greatest Gift” by Philippe Stern.

Personally,I love films like “It’s a Wonderful Life”! I adore to watch old stories about humanity and kindness. This is really what I need in Christmas time- to reflect all my attitude during the year and compare it with a character from any meaningful movie. And also, James Stewart is handsome man!

Author wanted to say that our family, friends, current job and home is a greatest gift and we should never give up! I guess that every person had troubles sometimes, and thought that the situation is hopeless. But there’s always a light of warm-hearted people around you. We should chersish simple things- our loving parents, responsible friends, cozy home and warm clothes, the ability to watch your children growing up and laughing.

Here’s some of my recommendation of Russian films for my American friend:

  1. “Moscow Does Not Believe In Tears” (my personal favourite)
  2. “The Irony of Fate,or Enjoy Your Banya” (for New Year’s atmosphere)
  3. “Love and Doves”
  4. “Office Romance” ( My heart is sad — I dare not tell, My heart is sad for Somebody. I could wake a winter night For the sake of Somebody.)

Merry Christmas an Happy New year!
